Hi! My name is Kerrie and I am the owner & founder of K-Fix Studios and the mother of 2 amazing daughters, Bailey & Makenzie. I am a widow and brain tumor survivor. I have a degree in Marketing Management from Boston College along with experience selling for Canon Office Equipment, Kodak Dental Systems and Coldwell Banker Real Estate. I've also owned a networking company and the Boston APA Franchise. After experiencing a few tragic experiences and rebuilding myself, body, mind and soul, I decided to take a leap of faith and open a fitness training studio for kids and teens. Being someone that suffered with weight and fitness from a very young age and knowing that obesity is on the rise, I felt it would be an amazing career to embark on, as well as a much needed service. I also noticed when working on my own fitness, there was no real place where I could bring my kids or workout with them - which is where the idea for K-Fix Studios came from. The achievements in the program stem from all the accomplishments I focused on while rebuilding my life.
Mosa began exercising after the birth of her second son. Like most new moms after childbirth, she was not feeling her best, so she found a gym where many other moms went to take classes and bond. About a year into her fitness journey, her husband died of a massive heart attack and she was left with 2 sons, Ron,3 and Sam, 1. She discovered shortly after his death, that both of her sons also had extremely raised cholesterol levels. She knew that if she didn’t make a lifestyle change, more heartbreak could come down the road. Along with healthier food choices, she continued her exercise journey to lead by example for her children. It didn’t take her long to find a passion for exercise and a need to be a mentor for those who were still on their own journeys, so she became an instructor. She prides herself in learning everything that she can to be able to guide and teach those who participate with her. She's been a mentor in the industry for 15 years and holds Personal Training and many Group Fitness Certifications through NASM & AFAA.
Kristie has been a Special Education Teacher and ministry leader for 24 years. She always loved fitness and helping others. In November 2015, she was in a car accident and broke a vertebrae in her neck. A few months later she discovered a tumor which began her journey to confront pain, cancer, 8 surgeries, and various treatments all to be healthy. In July 2017 after a double mastectomy, she could barely walk and feed herself. There were so many "I can not's", so she decided to count the "I cans". Her faith, positive outlook, determination, family, and friends kept her on the path to increase the "I cans". Yoga and meditation on scriptures was a central part of her healing. Now a year later, I offer yoga to help others on their journey to greater health, strength and peace. Kristie teaches restorative and vinyasa yoga and also offers private lessons. She works with adults and kids age 10+.
Michelle's journey with yoga began in 2010 when she was training for a full marathon which she I loved. In 2016, she found Holy Yoga and loved their messages of faith along with yoga. Today she's a Master Holy Yoga instructor with over 500 hours of training, specializing in gentle/slow flow and trauma sensitive yoga. Her mantra is "My life is not my own." As Jesus did, she's here not to be served but to serve and share the Love of God with all those she comes in contact with daily. Jesus is her guru and she lives to bring him glory.
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
